I. Summary
MultiTech announces an immediate change in status from Near-End-of-Life (NEOL) to End-of-Life (EOL) for the following SocketModem® Cell and MultiTech Dragonfly™ devices:
- 3G HSPA+ Embedded Cellular Modems (MTSMC-H5 models)
- 3G HSPA+ Cellular Modems and SoMs (MTQ-H5 models)
Recommended replacement products are available.

IV. Product Description
The SocketModem® Cell cellular modem is a complete, ready-to-integrate communications device that offers 4GLTE, as well as 2G or 3G, GSM data performance. These quick-to-market communications devices allow developers to add wireless communication to products with a minimum of development time and expense.
The Dragonfly embedded IoT cellular modems and SoMs are fully certified and MNO approved, ready-to-integrate modules that offer developers the functionality of a programmable computing platform with the convenience of an onboard cellular radio all in one compact design. From a software perspective, Dragonfly is compatible with the Arm® Mbed™ programming platform allowing for rapid prototyping, development and deployment. With its integrated Cortex®-M4 processor, developers can host their application and have access to a full suite of interfaces for connecting sensors or other remote assets.

MultiTech will provide technical support and repair or exchange of the products listed in this announcement through the warranty period of the installed device. However, no firmware/software updates or maintenance releases will take place post NEOL date.
